Mission of MAS Cincinnati

By the Grace and Blessings of God it gives us a deep sense of pleasure, blessings and privilege to present to our community this expansive blue print for building a model Muslim community. To be a leading witnessing community within the greater fabric of our American society and in line with the compelling sense of mission that our Islam invigorates us with. To align our earthly lives with the Divine Guidance of the Almighty God and be truthful to the model of our prophet peace be upon him. To dignify our earthly existence with divine guidance and to elevate the condition of man from the narrow chains of this life to the breadth and width of the limitlessness of this life and the hereafter.  

Our MAS Cincinnati chapter, as every MAS chapter, in its mission is poised and built to be a microcosm of this blueprint to build a model Muslim community. One that is in line with the principles of Islam that are at the core of what defines us and that are in full harmony with our citizenship as Americans. OneOne that is comprehensive enough to address all aspects of our mission. One that is balanced enough to fulfill the needs of the mundane and the divine, the spiritual and the physical and the individual and the communal. One that is moderate enough to espouse the proper understanding of Islam to be mercy to mankind, to be a compassionate and caring discourse for its own nation. One that is practical and relevant enough to impact the reality it lives in and strive to serve the needs of its society while understanding the need for organization, commitment and collective work. One that is developed enough to be empowered with the tools of growth and the ability to impact its own environment in line of its duty of civic engagement and its mission of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. that is being constructed according to the model life of the prophet peace be upon him where the process of Tarbiyah, the constant development and growth with purification and knowledge, of the individual and the community is at the cornerstone of our work.

Our goal is to be an engine of development and empowerment for the greater Muslim and American community. These awesome expansive ideals, the model of reform and revival, are translated into comprehensive integrated programs: from scouts and youth work to educational and spiritual programs for the whole family to social and relief services for the community.

We humbly in MAS present a model that is the result of years of hard work, soul-searching and cumulative Islamic experience in America and the world at large. Empowered by an integrated comprehensive clear vision and mission. Committed to a methodology and process of implementation that is brilliant yet ready to be upgraded and improved. Graced by an open and accommodating set of ethics and work guidelines that are principled yet inviting and practical. And finally driven by the passion to serve and the desire to better one's condition and surroundings and an unwavering submission to the Source of All Good and Blessings, the Almighty SWT.
