MAS Youth Give
Serving the Creator by Serving His Creation

MAS Youth Give is a project of the Muslim American Society (MAS). Started in March 2001, MAS Youth Give is focused on mobilizing American Muslim youth to help create a better society by instilling in them the need for service and giving to those in less fortunate circumstances.

At least once a month, we coordinate volunteer activities with a variety of service organizations from house-building for low-income residents to helping with Special Olympics. Our activities include enough variety to meet everybody's interests.

MAS believes that truly successful activism can only be truly achieved if it is preceded by knowledge and sincerity. All MAS activities work on developing this comprehensive, well-rounded, and balanced personality.

A crucial part of this personality is the compassion that drives someone to help others...

Previous Activities

  • Special Olympics
  • Beach Cleanup
  • Paint Day
  • Tree Planting
  • Feed Homeless (G.L.I.D.E)
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • 2nd Harvest Food Bank

In the Quran...

"... it is righteousness to believe in God and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask; and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayers and practice regular charity... Such are the people of truth, the God fearing" (Quran 2: 177)."

So why get involved?

  • God is telling us that our worship is unfinished without helping deeds. So after establishing the fundamental beliefs, we must turn our faith into actions of service to humankind
  • You meet fellow youth
  • It's a great way to fulfill community service requirements
  • You get the opportunity to create new experiences

A Youth Reflects

"The MYG event was a glimpse into a foreign land for me. Like many events when we step out of the bubble of our day to day lives, I have learned to be thankful for what I have and not just for material things in life."

Take Action!

  • MYG holds volunteer events once a month that anyone can get involved in
  • Check out the contact info and don't hesitate to get going!
