MORE INFORMATION ON THE CONFERENCE?

Description of Conference:

What is the meaning of Revival and Reform, its importance, and its relevance on the American scene? What is the role of the Muslim American locally and nationally? How do we implement this role? Muslim Americans are in dire need for an inclusive, collective movement of Revival and Reform based on integration and collaboration with a spirit of respect and appreciation. By citing examples from the practices of the prophets and their follower reformists; by studying the roots of forgotten Islamic values essential to any revival and reform efforts, we can build a model Muslim community. “Raising the Bar: Building a Model Muslim Community” is a one day conference aimed at reviving and challenging our community, locally and regionally, to build a model Muslim community using the example of our beloved Messenger, peace be upon him.
This year our theme is "Brightening Our Future: Our Youth, Our Family & Our Community“. We wanted the theme to revolve around the idea of a strong family producing strong youth who work for a better country, benefiting both Muslims and non-Muslims. The workshops/lectures will focus on these 3 areas: strengthening families, strengthening Youth, and teaching Muslims how to work for the betterment of our great country through civic engagement. We hope this year’s conference will benefit each attendee. See you on May 10th!

Message of Conference:
A very strong and clear massage of hope for a brighter future of Muslims in the US as well as the whole Globe, and that this future rest in the hands of the Muslim American based on developing themselves as individuals, families, communities as well as their contribution to the Society at large, never the less, caring for the week and needy across the globe.
