US Muslims Extend a Helping Hand to
Aid Families with Back to School Supplies
Regardless of Faith or Ethnicity. Defining the goals of Islamic charitable giving, the
Prophet Mohammed (May the Blessings of Allah be upon him) said that we are all responsible
for our neighbors: “He is not a believer who lets himself be satiated while his neighbor goes
hungry”.
Donors may designate gifts at their local MAS chapter or via the MSC website.

A universally compassionate faith, Islam teaches mankind that there is
no distinction between
a hungry Muslim and a hungry non-Muslim. A person who is suffering here
in America is just
as deserving as someone who is in distress elsewhere.
Although America is the “Land of Plenty”, there is no lack of poverty,
no shortage of people
who are in need. Recent reports show that the ranks of the poor
continue to grow: single mothers, immigrants, the elderly, and the
working poor. All children deserve an equal chance to succeed. All too
often a family in need must choose to put food on the table over
purchasing proper school supplies. Together with your help, MAS will
help provide.
